Regional Financial Controller – Africa

About the role

The Regional Financial Controller will own the finance function for a leading manufacturing organisation with a 100‑year legacy. Reporting to senior leadership, you will drive financial strategy, strengthen controls and provide insight across South African and broader African operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full finance function, including financial reporting, monthly management accounts and group reporting.
• Drive implementation of short‑ and long‑term strategic business plans for the region.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and performance reporting.
• Oversee internal, statutory and tax audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate business projects, support commercial decisions and conduct post‑implementation reviews.
• Strengthen financial controls, governance frameworks and continuously improve processes.
• Partner with operations on cost optimisation, procurement initiatives and overall business performance.

Required profile

• CA(SA) qualification.
• 15+ years of finance experience, including 2–3 years in a senior finance leadership role.
• Experience in automotive, FMCG or manufacturing sectors.
• Demonstrated experience working with African entities.
