Quality Controller

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Quality Controller to join our fast‑paced distribution centre in George. The role ensures that all incoming products and outgoing retail orders meet strict quality standards before they reach customers and retail partners.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct quality inspections on imported products upon arrival.
• Check for defects, damages, incorrect labeling and packaging inconsistencies.
• Verify product specifications against purchase orders and supplier documentation.
• Perform thorough checks on all retail orders before dispatch, confirming correct quantities, product codes and packaging standards.
• Investigate and report quality issues or non‑conformances.
• Maintain accurate quality control records and inspection reports.
• Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to resolve quality‑related concerns.
• Assist with stock audits and inventory quality checks.
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards and procedures.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
• Previous experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Warehouse Inspection or a similar role is advantageous.
• Experience with imported consumer products, retail products or distribution environments is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Logical and analytical thinker with excellent problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Immediately available preferred.
