Quality Assurer – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Quality Assurer to join a leading building contractor delivering large‑scale infrastructure projects across South Africa. You will be responsible for upholding quality standards on multiple sites, ensuring compliance with client requirements and ISO 9001 regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and enforce quality standards aligned with project and client specifications.
• Conduct internal and external audits, including compliance and surveillance audits.
• Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO compliance documentation.
• Perform site inspections, snagging, and produce detailed quality reports.
• Issue and track Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and corrective actions.
• Monitor risk indicators and apply mitigation strategies.
• Ensure document control and audit readiness across all projects.
• Support project teams to achieve high‑quality workmanship and compliance.

Required profile

• Tertiary degree or diploma in a relevant engineering discipline (advantageous).
• Minimum 5 + years of technical and managerial experience in construction quality assurance.
• Strong auditing, reporting and analytical abilities.
• Proven stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Own reliable vehicle, valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively between sites.
