Public Service Commission Commissioner – Limpopo Province

About the role

The Public Service Commission (PSC) is an independent constitutional institution tasked with ensuring effective, efficient, and ethical public administration. The Limpopo Provincial Legislature is seeking a fit‑and‑proper individual to serve as a Commissioner for the PSC in Limpopo Province, overseeing the implementation of constitutional values and public service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Promote constitutional values and principles throughout the public service and ensure compliance with related policies.
• Investigate, monitor and evaluate personnel practices, organisational performance and adherence to public service legislation.
• Investigate grievances of public service employees and provide recommendations.
• Advise national and provincial organs of state on personnel practices and public service matters.

Required profile

• South African citizen with a minimum NQF Level 8 qualification (or equivalent) in Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources, Law, Finance, Social Sciences or a related field.
• At least eight (8) years of senior management experience in a relevant public‑sector or state‑organ role.
• Clean criminal record (no convictions exceeding 12 months imprisonment) and no history of misconduct.
• Valid South African driving licence (code B) and not holding any political office or remunerative work outside the commissioner duties.
