Project Execution Director – EPC Construction Projects

About the role

This senior position leads the Project Execution Department, ensuring EPC projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. The director translates business strategy into actionable project plans and drives continuous improvement across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Project Execution Department, aligning project execution with corporate strategic objectives.
• Provide executive oversight of the entire EPC project portfolio from award through commissioning and handover.
• Monitor safety, quality, schedule, cost, cash flow, productivity and client satisfaction against approved baselines.
• Approve project execution plans, construction methodologies, resource plans and procurement strategies.
• Coordinate personnel, equipment, subcontractors and financial resources across multiple concurrent projects.
• Take overall responsibility for financial performance, profitability, forecasts and cost control.
• Establish proactive risk management processes, identify major risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Mentor senior project managers, develop high‑performance teams and implement succession planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related discipline; MBA or postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
• Professional registration such as PrEng, PMP or equivalent is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering, construction or EPC environments, with at least 8 years managing large, complex projects.
• At least 5 years of experience leading multidisciplinary project teams in an executive role.
• Proven track record of delivering EPC projects through the full life‑cycle from award to final handover.
