About the role
Sandvik Mining is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the Project Manager in delivering first‑time roll‑outs and trial projects for Sandvik assets at new and existing mines. The role involves close interaction with customers, cost control, and ensuring project documentation is complete.
Key responsibilities
- Manage project costs, recoveries and work within budget.
- Perform monthly invoice and recovery sign‑off.
- Control work‑in‑progress and provide daily/weekly project feedback.
- Maintain continuous customer interaction while protecting Sandvik’s interests.
- Prepare project close‑out documentation.
- Coordinate project activities, including strategic stock requirements and stock availability checks.
- Ensure project change management processes are followed and manuals are updated.
- Sign‑off on monthly job numbers and follow engineering change and PU feedback processes.
- Comply with Sandvik safety standards, customer requirements, legislation and the SMRT SHEQ management system.
Required profile
- Grade 12 qualification.
- Certificate or diploma in Project Management.
- Knowledge of Sandvik databases.
- At least 2 years of experience managing or coordinating projects in the mining industry.
- General trackless mining experience (minimum 2 years).
