Production Unit Technician – S3

About the role

Sandvik Mining is seeking a Production Unit Technician (S3) to support the pre‑assembly, testing and commissioning of hard‑rock and soft‑rock loaders. The role involves working in a workshop environment to ensure machines are built to specification, safely and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble machines according to the assembly plan, including mechanical, electro‑hydraulic and pneumatic components.
• Pre‑assemble and test flame‑proof components.
• Conduct testing and commissioning of newly built LHD machines.
• Monitor parts availability using Lean systems and report shortages.
• Maintain work areas in line with production standards and SOPs.
• Follow Sandvik SHEQ management system and report any deviations or damages.
• Complete work orders, provide feedback to foremen and ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE.

Required profile

• Trade certificate (Millwright or Mechanical) with a flame‑proof certificate.
• 3–5 years of experience in machine manufacturing, preferably with Sandvik hard‑rock and soft‑rock loaders.
• Proven knowledge of electro‑hydraulics, hydraulics, pneumatics and ability to read schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic and root‑cause analysis capabilities.
• Safety‑focused attitude, able to work independently or within a team.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Physically and medically fit for workshop work.
