Production Operator

About the role

We are looking for a Production Operator to support repair technicians in disassembly and assembly of customer equipment overhauls. The role involves handling parts, operating a forklift, and maintaining a clean, safe workshop environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist technicians with disassembly and assembly tasks under supervision.
• Prepare parts for assembly, including buffing, grinding, wire‑brushing and tapping.
• Operate forklift and overhead crane to move components and equipment on site.
• Perform high‑pressure washing and cleaning of assemblies and components.
• Preserve and protect parts, including boxing and crating for shipment.
• Carry out general workshop duties such as housekeeping, tool control and component cleaning.

Required profile

• Minimum education: Grade 10 (Standard 8).
• Prior experience operating a forklift is essential.
• Ability to work safely with hand and power tools.
• Experience in a manufacturing or heavy‑engineering environment is advantageous.
