Procurement & Logistics Coordinator (12‑month contract)

About the role

Scatec is seeking a Procurement and Logistics Coordinator for its Cape Town office on a 12‑month contract. The role supports Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and other business units by ensuring timely procurement, contract management and smooth logistics for renewable energy projects.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain quotes and lead times for materials and services, align them with project schedules and present to line managers for approval.
• Prepare and issue contracts and purchase orders, track acknowledgements and maintain records in the document management system.
• Monitor logistics, identify risks, manage shipping documentation, and ensure delivery aligns with project requirements.
• Receive and verify invoices against contracts and delivery notes, code them in the Eye‑Share payment system and follow up for timely payment.
• Communicate with finance to confirm weekly payment runs, share proof of payments with suppliers and close out contracts after delivery.
• Support customs procedures and maintain accurate delivery registers, packing lists and material handover sheets.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the operating system and its implementation across project phases.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement and logistics coordination, preferably within the renewable energy or industrial sector.
• Familiarity with contract preparation, purchase order processing and supplier management.
• Ability to work closely with project teams, finance and operations to meet delivery timelines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and communicate logistics risks.

Required skills

• Use of document management systems for contract and PO tracking.
• Experience with the Eye‑Share (ES) payment system or similar financial software.
• Knowledge of customs documentation and import procedures.
