PBX Service Controller – Glenwood, Durban (R15k + standby)

About the role

The PBX Service Controller will log, prioritise and monitor all PBX service calls, schedule technicians and coordinate service requests for clients in Glenwood, Durban. The role ensures timely completion of jobs, keeps clients informed and manages fault escalations while maintaining accurate service records.

Key responsibilities

• Log, prioritise and monitor all incoming PBX service calls.
• Schedule and coordinate technicians to ensure open jobs are completed promptly.
• Update clients regularly on the progress of their service requests.
• Liaise with technicians, suppliers and internal departments to resolve issues.
• Manage escalations and urgent faults, ensuring rapid response.
• Maintain accurate job cards and service records.
• Prepare basic service reports and identify recurring issues.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a service controller or in coordination roles.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Good telephone manner and customer‑service skills.
• Computer literate and comfortable using service‑management systems.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks.

Required skills

• Experience with PBX or telecommunications systems (advantageous).
• Familiarity with service‑management software such as Nucleus/xBPO (advantageous).
