Paralegal (High Court) – Thohoyandou

About the role

The Road Accident Fund is seeking a dedicated Paralegal to support High Court attorneys in Thohoyandou. You will provide essential legal, administrative, and research assistance to ensure efficient case management and compliance with statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with legal research, public record searches, and client/witness interviews.
• Collect, retrieve, and analyse information relevant to litigation cases.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, briefs, pleadings, and discovery materials.
• Summarise depositions, manage case files, and update file registers.
• Support trial preparation and documentation.
• Contribute to regulatory reporting and develop functional reporting systems.
• Maintain proactive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and service providers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a legal environment.
• Strong planning, organising, and decision‑making abilities.
• High ethical standards and client‑service orientation.
• Knowledge of legislation, PFMA, claims litigation, and motor vehicle accident law.
• Ability to negotiate, resolve conflicts, and solve problems analytically.
