Mobile Application Developer (C#) – Contract

About the role

We are looking for a Junior to Intermediate Mobile Application Developer to join our delivery team in Johannesburg. The role involves designing, building and maintaining enterprise mobile applications that integrate with backend systems and databases. You will work in an Agile environment, collaborating with analysts, testers and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain mobile applications for Android, iOS or cross‑platform using C#.
• Implement responsive, scalable and user‑friendly solutions that meet business requirements.
• Develop and maintain backend integrations, write and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures and database interactions.
• Perform unit testing, support system integration testing and ensure code quality through reviews and best‑practice adherence.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects, performance issues and support application enhancements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as stand‑ups, sprint planning and retrospectives.

Required profile

• Relevant degree, diploma or certification in IT, Computer Science or related field.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and a quality‑focused mindset.

Required skills

• C# development.
• Mobile application development (Android, iOS or cross‑platform).
• SQL and relational database experience.
• API integration and backend services.
• Experience with Xamarin or .NET MAUI (preferred).
• Version control using Azure DevOps or Git.
• Understanding of REST API integration.
• Exposure to cloud‑based or enterprise application environments.
