Medical Aid Broker Sales Consultant

About the role

The Medical Aid Broker Sales Consultant will act as the primary point of contact for clients seeking advice, support and claim management for their medical aid and health‑related products. You will guide clients through alternative cover options, option changes and interim upgrades, ensuring they receive comprehensive health coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Provide service delivery and liaison with clients via phone and email.
• Coordinate with medical aid providers to manage and resolve application processes and option change requests.
• Qualify leads, assess individual client needs and compile comparative medical aid quotations.
• Recommend the most suitable medical aid options and conduct late‑joiner penalty investigations.
• Support clients’ health portfolios holistically, including cross‑selling company cover, dental gap cover and other health products.
• Ensure compliance with FAIS standards and follow‑up client communications as required.

Required profile

• National Senior Certificate or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in the medical aid industry.
• Experience in a call‑centre or client‑service environment.
• CMS accreditation (advantageous) and RE5/Wealth Management qualification NQF level 5 (advantageous).
• Strong analytical, listening and relationship‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using CRM programs.
