Manufacturing Manager

About the role

Givaudan is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead one or more production lines in Johannesburg. You will ensure flavour and fragrance products are manufactured on schedule, meet quality standards, and stay within cost targets while supporting the company’s global innovation agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Implement regional manufacturing strategy and oversee tactical and operational plans locally.
• Control production, material flow, and inventory to achieve cost, quality, and schedule objectives.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing processes, labor standards, work instructions, line layouts, tools and fixtures.
• Create manufacturing schedules, allocate labour and capital resources, and manage budget controls.
• Partner with supply chain, logistics and sales teams to align production with current and future product needs.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects to reduce cost per kilogram and enhance performance.
• Manage a high‑performance team, monitor attendance, quality and productivity, and ensure training and cross‑training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or a related field.
• Proven experience in manufacturing or production management, preferably in the flavour or fragrance industry.
• Strong leadership and people‑management capabilities.
