About the role
The incumbent must have an excellent understanding of electrical systems with the ability to coach and mentor factory teams and effectively communicate with senior management. Prior experience in sugar manufacturing processes is advantageous.
Required profile
- Engineering degree (BSc or BTech) in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current)
- At least 5 years’ operational experience in a factory engineering environment
- Pr. Eng or Pr. Cert. Eng registration with ECSA
- Government Certificate of Competency (advantageous)
- South African citizenship

- Electrical systems knowledge
- Asset management principles
- Engineering standards, wiring codes and testing requirements
- Process control methodologies and associated hardware
- SCADA, DCS and PLC interfaces and architecture
- Computer literacy and report‑writing
