Legal Counsel – South Africa (UK Region)

About the role

Concentrix is seeking a commercially‑driven Legal Counsel based in Johannesburg to support its UK Region, which includes the UK, Ireland, South Africa and Ghana. The role offers a hybrid work model and involves high‑visibility legal advisory work across multi‑jurisdictional client engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead high‑stakes client negotiations and manage end‑to‑end drafting of complex commercial and AI‑related agreements (MSAs, SOWs, variations, terminations, RFP responses).
• Ensure contracts align with internal approval frameworks, manage interdependencies, and mitigate legal and commercial risk.
• Provide strategic legal and commercial advice to internal business partners, covering contractual terms, corporate compliance and regulatory issues.
• Collaborate with senior legal personnel, sales, and account managers across the region and globally.
• Maintain compliance with corporate governance, labour legislation, and data‑protection laws such as POPIA.
• Support the development, implementation and maintenance of internal policies, governance controls and corporate records.
• Advise on director duties, fiduciary responsibilities and statutory obligations under the Companies Act.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with experience in fast‑paced, international business environments.
• Proven ability to lead complex contract negotiations and provide commercial‑focused legal counsel.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance, labour law and data‑protection regulations in South Africa.
• Excellent communication skills and the capacity to act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders.
