About the role
The Key Accounts Manager will lead strategic relationships with our most important customers, driving growth and ensuring seamless execution of supply‑chain and commercial initiatives. This role combines account stewardship, market insight and cross‑functional collaboration to deliver value for both the client and the business.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute account plans for key customers, aligning with business objectives and market trends.
- Manage end‑to‑end supply‑chain interactions, including import processes, Incoterms compliance and cost optimisation.
- Negotiate trade spend, pricing and service agreements to maximise profitability.
- Collaborate with internal teams—sales, finance, operations—to ensure operational excellence and timely delivery.
- Analyse shopper insights and market data to identify growth opportunities.
- Maintain and expand a network of industry contacts and trade partners.
Required profile
- 5‑10 years of experience in account management or customer marketing, preferably within a supply‑chain or retail environment.
- Strong financial acumen and proven ability to negotiate and optimise trade spend.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex stakeholder relationships and delivering operational results.
- Relevant tertiary qualification at NQF level 7 or equivalent.
