International Financial Controller (Consumer Beverage)

About the role

Pura Beverage Company is a fast‑growing better‑for‑you soda brand expanding across South Africa and the United States. The International Financial Controller will own financial control, reporting, tax governance and strategic oversight for its US and UK entities, reporting directly to the CFO from the Westlake office in Cape Town.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly reporting for all international entities, ensuring accuracy, integrity and timeliness.
• Develop management dashboards and KPI reports for executive and board visibility.
• Manage multi‑currency exposures, intercompany reconciliations and multi‑entity consolidation in USD.
• Oversee transfer‑pricing policies and ensure compliance across jurisdictions.
• Control the outsourced US accounting team, reviewing every entry and guaranteeing accurate reporting.
• Prepare monthly management accounts with commentary and variance analysis.
• Partner with operations to value manufactured inventory, applying bill of materials, standard costing and production run accounting.
• Handle international related‑party billing, supplier invoice verification and weekly disbursement reviews.
• Analyse customer claims and credits, reconcile inventory movements with warehousing partners.
• Manage trade finance and credit‑insurance obligations, including stock and debtor reporting.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with FMCG manufacturing experience.
• Proven experience in financial control, reporting and tax governance for international entities.
• Ability to work flexible hours to align with US East Coast business times.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
