Internal Auditor

About the role

The Internal Auditor will conduct audits across Discovery, delivering objective feedback and ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulations and industry standards. The role requires a proactive mindset, a sense of urgency and flexibility to adapt to a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform audits in line with Discovery’s Audit Methodology and required audit software.
• Assist the Senior Internal Auditor with engagement letters and documentation of system descriptions or walkthroughs.
• Obtain business approval for documented system descriptions, risks, controls and walkthroughs.
• Complete audit checklists, maintain the Pentana audit file and document risks and controls for each scope area.
• Prepare test procedures, conduct fieldwork testing and draft working papers following GIA methodology.
• Provide progress updates to senior auditors, flag issues promptly and escalate when feedback is missing.
• Draft observations, confirm errors with business, and prepare first‑draft audit reports for review.
• Update audit software, sign off working papers and clear coaching notes.
• Complete mini‑appraisals within two weeks of final report issuance and capture billable time accurately.

Required profile

• Strong drive, sense of urgency and ability to work flexibly.
• Awareness of the IIA International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF), Code of Ethics and Standards.
• Ability to follow audit methodology and adhere to professional standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Pentana audit software.
• Knowledge of audit methodology and GIA working‑paper standards.
