Intermediate QA Automation Engineer – Fintech (Web, Mobile & API)

About the role

You will own quality across our trading application end‑to‑end – web, mobile, and API. This is not a checklist‑only position; you will explore user flows, deliberately break them, catch issues developers miss, and build scalable automation. Experience as a trader or investor is a plus.

Key responsibilities

• Perform functional testing on web, iOS & Android mobile apps, and APIs.
• Write, maintain and expand automated test suites for web, API and mobile platforms.
• Create and keep test documentation such as test cases, test plans and bug reports.
• Track, retest and verify defects, collaborating directly with developers for rapid resolution.
• Take full ownership of specific product areas within the QA team.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of professional QA experience with hands‑on automation work.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and ability to produce documentation from specifications.
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, curl) and traffic‑sniffing tools (Proxyman, Charles, Fiddler).
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries for MS SQL, MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of WebSockets testing and basic familiarity with financial markets or stock trading.
• Nice‑to‑have: personal investing/trading experience, Docker/container knowledge, prior QA lead or manager responsibilities.
