Hotel Travel Desk Agent / Concierge

About the role

The President Hotel is looking for a dedicated Hotel Travel Desk Agent/Concierge to enhance guest experiences beyond the lobby. In this role you will coordinate transport, tours, excursions and personalised travel arrangements for our international guests throughout Cape Town.

Key responsibilities

• Arrange airport transfers, shuttle services, car hire and local tours for hotel guests.
• Liaise with trusted tour operators, transport providers and suppliers to ensure seamless experiences.
• Provide accurate destination advice, customised itineraries and timely travel confirmations.
• Handle guest enquiries via email, phone and in‑person with a professional, welcoming attitude.
• Maintain accurate records of bookings, amendments and cancellations and communicate details to relevant hotel departments.
• Prepare daily reports, handovers and resolve guest concerns promptly.
• Support the Front Office and Concierge teams as needed to ensure smooth hotel operations.

Required profile

• Matric or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a hotel travel desk, concierge or front‑office role.
• Strong knowledge of Cape Town attractions, tours and transport logistics.
• Experience in a 4‑star or 5‑star hotel environment.
• Excellent communication skills, professional presentation and grooming.
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with hotel property management and travel booking systems.
