Higher Education Lecturer – Hospitality

About the role

The International Hotel School is looking for a passionate Higher Education Lecturer to deliver engaging hospitality courses at our Sunninghill Campus. You will play a key role in shaping future hospitality professionals through interactive teaching and mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, interactive lessons that align with current industry standards.
• Mentor and support students in both academic progress and career planning.
• Stay abreast of hospitality trends and integrate them into curriculum delivery.
• Collaborate with academic colleagues to continuously improve curriculum and student experience.

Required profile

• NQF Level 7 hospitality qualification (essential).
• Registration with ETDP SETA as an Assessor (beneficial) and scoped by CATHSSETA (beneficial).
• Minimum of 5 years relevant practical industry experience.
• At least 2 years lecturing or teaching experience.
• Proven record of student throughput and pass‑rate success.

Required skills

• Proficiency with relevant computer software.
• Strong administrative abilities.
• Knowledge of curriculum development and assessment processes.
