Harvesting Manager – Spekboom Operations

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Harvesting Manager to lead two large harvesting teams across multiple Spekboom sites in the Eastern and Western Cape. The role is contract‑based for two years and focuses on meeting production and quality targets while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all field staff.

Key responsibilities

• Manage two harvesting teams and oversee daily production outputs.
• Conduct quality assessments of harvested Spekboom material.
• Ensure strict health, safety and first‑aid compliance on all sites.
• Coordinate team welfare, accommodation and on‑site logistics, including food preparation.
• Liaise with farmers, landowners, project stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships.
• Handle administrative tasks in collaboration with head‑office support.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Harvesting or Farm Manager.
• Proven ability to manage large, diverse teams.
• Valid Drivers License (PDP) and willingness to travel and stay at various sites.

Required skills

• Health and Safety management.
• First Aid certification.
