Full‑Time Online English Teacher (Johannesburg)

About the role

EF Education First is looking for a permanent full‑time online English teacher to join its Johannesburg office. You will deliver conversation‑based lessons to adult learners from around the world, using EF’s proprietary online classroom platform.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct 20‑ to 45‑minute group and private online lessons for adult students.
• Provide after‑class progress reports and personalised improvement recommendations.
• Correct student essay submissions using EF’s online tools.
• Participate in mandatory ongoing training and professional development.
• With experience, create custom lesson materials.

Required profile

• South African residency with a valid ID document.
• Native‑level (C2) English proficiency with a neutral accent.
• Completed bachelor’s degree (mandatory).
• TEFL certification (preferred but not required).
• Highly computer literate and able to use a smartphone for daily sign‑ins.
• Willingness to work from the Bryanston office in Johannesburg.
• Professional, energetic and enthusiastic about interacting with people.
