Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) – Supervisory Role

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) will supervise daily nursing activities in a long‑term care facility, ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local regulations. Reporting to the Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), the RN will help maintain the highest quality of resident care.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing Services in directing day‑to‑day nursing functions.
• Develop, update, and maintain nursing policies, procedures, and the Nursing Service Procedures Manual.
• Ensure reference materials (e.g., PDRs, regulations) at nurses’ stations are current.
• Monitor compliance of nursing staff with job descriptions and procedural manuals.
• Participate in quality‑assurance programs, facility surveys, and resident discharge planning.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.

Required profile

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience supervising nursing staff in a long‑term care setting.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state and local nursing regulations.
• Ability to develop and revise policies, procedures, and job descriptions.
• Excellent written and oral communication for reporting to leadership.
