Full Stack Software Engineer

About the role

Capitec is seeking an energetic Full Stack Software Engineer to join a cross‑functional team responsible for the entire software development lifecycle. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance both front‑end and back‑end components of web applications that support the banking industry.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in concept, development, deployment and operation of software products.
• Design and implement scalable, reliable, high‑performance front‑end and back‑end solutions.
• Ensure optimal client experiences through responsive design and performance optimisation.
• Collaborate with business analysts and delivery teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Maintain code quality using version control, testing practices and design patterns.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in full‑stack development.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Clear criminal and credit record.

• Modern front‑end frameworks and technologies.

• SQL and NoSQL database systems and query optimisation.
