Full Stack Developer – Contract (Hybrid, Cape Town)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team in Cape Town on a contract basis. You will work on enterprise‑grade financial services applications, delivering new features and maintaining existing systems while adhering to strict security and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, code, test and deploy scalable web applications using the Microsoft technology stack and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Build responsive user interfaces with Angular and Blazor (Server or WebAssembly).
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices and business logic using .NET Core/.NET 6+ and C#.
• Write complex T‑SQL queries, stored procedures and optimise performance in SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Integrate third‑party financial APIs and internal banking systems.
• Ensure compliance with POPIA, PCI‑DSS and implement robust authentication, authorisation and encryption.
• Participate in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, code reviews and collaborate with DevOps, QA and Business Analysts.
• Produce high‑quality technical documentation for handover and maintenance.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional full‑stack development experience.
• Strong expertise in the .NET ecosystem (C#, ASP.NET Core.NET 5/6+).
• Commercial experience with Blazor (Server or WebAssembly) and Angular (v12+).
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3 (SASS/SCSS) and modern JavaScript/ES6.
• Proficiency in SQL Server or PostgreSQL, including T‑SQL query optimisation.
