Financial Manager

About the role

JD Implemente (Pty) (“JDI”) Ltd is looking for a senior Financial Manager to lead the development and execution of its financial and operational strategy. The role combines strategic planning, day‑to‑day financial management, and compliance oversight to ensure the long‑term sustainability of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement financial and operational strategies aligned with corporate goals.
• Develop and optimise processes to support new and existing initiatives.
• Continuously evaluate and simplify the business and financial model.
• Assess business risks and put control measures in place.
• Manage the strategic financial plan, budgeting, pricing, discounting and cost‑control culture.
• Oversee debtor management, forex and international market transactions.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, income tax and other statutory requirements.
• Lead financial planning, treasury management and regular reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual).
• Maintain IFRS‑compliant accounting practices, balance‑sheet reconciliations and fixed‑asset registers.
• Handle insurance claims, service‑level agreements and year‑end audit processes.
• Supervise performance management, HR and IT functions, and act as Compliance Officer.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in financial management, budgeting and risk assessment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, South African tax legislation and compliance standards.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
