Experienced Control Room Operator - CCTV & Offsite Monitoring

About the role

The company seeks a senior Control Room Operator to manage CCTV and off‑site monitoring for its clients. The role involves live surveillance, alarm response and coordination with security officers in a busy Johannesburg control centre. Candidates must be PSIRA‑registered and able to work on multiple security platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Live monitoring of CCTV cameras across on‑site and off‑site locations.
• Responding to alarm activations, panic alerts and failed check‑ins.
• Liaising with security officers and management regarding incidents.
• Rostering and attendance capture using Easy Roster.
• Loading new sites, officers and SOPs into systems such as Ajax, Watch Manager, Lytehouse, DeepAlert and OnGuard.
• Maintaining accurate incident records and control‑room administration.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of control‑room operating experience.
• Proven CCTV monitoring experience and relevant training certificates.
• PSIRA registration with no criminal record.
• Resides in Johannesburg, preferably near Edenvale.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
• Experience with Easy Roster for scheduling and attendance.
• Operational knowledge of Ajax, Watch Manager, Lytehouse, DeepAlert and OnGuard Patrolling systems.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new security monitoring platforms.
