Executive Assistant to COO (Remote)

About the role
The company is a fast‑growing commercial real‑estate firm seeking a remote Executive Assistant to support its Chief Operating Officer. You will act as the COO’s strategic right‑hand, managing communications, schedules, and high‑impact research to keep the executive focused on growth initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the COO’s texts, phone calls, and email inbox, filtering and responding as needed.
- Schedule internal and external meetings, resolve conflicts, and protect the COO’s time for priority tasks.
- Maintain and optimise the COO’s calendar and appointments.
- Prepare high‑quality memos, presentations, and reports with strong attention to detail.
- Gather research and materials ahead of meetings to ensure full preparation.
- Assist with special projects, tracking deadlines and progress across departments.
- Handle highly sensitive information with absolute discretion and confidentiality.
- Identify and implement workflow and office‑operation improvements.
Required profile
- Proven experience as an Executive Assistant, Office Manager, or similar high‑level support role.
- Experience in bookkeeping or basic financial management.
- Ability to work autonomously while maintaining total confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with appointment‑scheduling software.
- Basic bookkeeping and financial record‑keeping.
What we offer
- Independent contractor arrangement.
- Remote work from South Africa or any location.
- Monthly compensation of $2,000 USD (subject to interview results and experience).
