About the role
The Events Assistant will act as the primary liaison between our clients and internal teams, ensuring that every event runs smoothly from planning to execution. Based onsite in Randburg, you will manage client relationships, coordinate logistics, and support the delivery of high‑quality event services.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and nurture client relationships, anticipating needs and providing consultation.
- Translate client planning requirements into actionable distribution plans and schedules.
- Process inbound and outbound job orders, ensuring timely delivery according to client specifications.
- Handle quote requests, liaise with suppliers for repairs, and secure purchase orders for invoicing.
- Monitor event calendars, prioritize tasks using a triage system, and coordinate equipment allocation.
- Track after‑hours installations, collections, and weekend activities.
- Maintain accurate client records, billing procedures, and financial controls.
- Report on damages, redundant items, and consumable usage; manage ordering and stock safety.
- Provide regular performance metrics and updates to clients and internal managers.
Required profile
- Strong client‑focused mindset with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to analyse performance data and manage budgets responsibly.
- Proactive problem‑solver who can anticipate client requirements.
- Organised and detail‑oriented, capable of handling multiple events simultaneously.
- Experience in event logistics, coordination, or related support functions.
