Enrolled Nurse – AICU (Mafikeng, North West)

About the role

The Enrolled Nurse will provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients in the Acute Intensive Care Unit (AICU) of a hospital group in Mafikeng. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the role ensures high‑quality patient care in line with South African nursing standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform duties according to South African Nursing Council, Department of Health and National Core Standards.
• Advocate for patients, uphold the company code of conduct and maintain accurate patient records.
• Plan, organise and prioritise work to deliver safe, therapeutic and clean care environments.
• Document patient care accurately in charts and departmental records.
• Promote a positive patient experience and educate patients about the group’s complaints procedure.
• Apply Lean management principles to minimise waste while maintaining care quality.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve unit goals.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification.
• Enrolled Nursing qualification with current South African Nursing Council registration.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) qualification.
• At least 3 years of relevant nursing experience, preferably in an AICU or private hospital setting.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Computer proficiency.
