Driver Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Driver Assistant to support daily gas cylinder deliveries in Somerset West. You will work closely with the driver, ensuring efficient loading, safe handling, and accurate paperwork for each route.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with loading and off‑loading gas cylinders onto the delivery vehicle.
• Help manage delivery paperwork, confirm customer details, and obtain signatures.
• Support the driver in navigating routes and maintaining delivery schedules.
• Ensure safe handling of gas cylinders and compliance with safety standards.
• Keep the delivery vehicle clean, organized, and ready for each trip.

Required profile

• Physically fit and comfortable lifting gas cylinders.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel with the driver on a daily basis.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
