DevOps Engineer

About the role

Join Singular’s DevOps team to work closely with the Senior DevOps Architect, defining best practices and championing DevOps adoption across development teams in Cape Town or Johannesburg. This full‑time permanent role offers a hybrid work model and the chance to shape cloud‑native infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Senior DevOps Architect to define, implement and refine DevOps best practices.
• Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable, repeatable deployments.
• Monitor, maintain and improve cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, performance and security.
• Automate manual processes to increase team efficiency and reduce operational overhead.
• Troubleshoot build, deployment and infrastructure issues in close partnership with development teams.
• Maintain and enhance monitoring, logging and alerting solutions.
• Document standards, processes and practices for knowledge sharing.
• Participate in architecture discussions, providing input on scalability, reliability and tooling.
• Integrate security practices (DevSecOps) into the development lifecycle.
