About the role
Our client is developing a modular, high‑performance energy system based on advanced rotating machinery and needs a Design & Manufacturing Engineer to transform a working prototype into a manufacturable, repeatable and scalable product.
Key responsibilities
- Define how the system is built, specifying the manufacturing processes and assembly sequence.
- Determine where and by whom each component is produced, coordinating with external suppliers.
- Optimize the design for efficient, reliable and cost‑effective assembly.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure design intent is maintained throughout production.
Required profile
- 5–10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, industrial systems or mechanical assemblies (rotating equipment preferred).
- Proven track record with Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) methodologies.
- Experience working with external suppliers and exposure to rotating machinery, turbines or high‑speed systems.
- Familiarity with PLM tools such as Teamcenter.
- Ability to interpret CFD and FEA simulation outputs in a practical context.
