Deputy Divisional Financial Manager

About the role

The Deputy Divisional Financial Manager will support financial administration across all branches and the divisional office, ensuring reliable data for decision‑making and driving process improvements. This role reports to senior finance leadership and collaborates closely with operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring sound financial administration in all branches and at the divisional office.
• Maintain reliable, timely and informative financial data for decision‑making purposes.
• Manage the expense creditors department.
• Support implementation and maintenance of an effective internal control and risk management environment.
• Drive improvements in current administrative and operational processes.
• Compile the monthly management pack for the board, including operational commentary and in‑depth analysis.
• Perform viability studies on expansion programmes.
• Negotiate service level agreements and pricing with suppliers.
• Manage cost‑curtailment and profit‑improvement initiatives.
• Review and authorise capital expenditure.
• Oversee stock and fixed‑asset management.
• Provide operational support and manage the total budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Conduct ad‑hoc analysis and other functions as required.

Required profile

• CA(SA) with minimum 2 years post‑article experience, preferably in an FMCG environment.
• Self‑starter willing to get involved in detail.
• Interest in all operational aspects of the business.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• SAP experience (preferable).
