Defended Foreclosure Litigation Secretary

About the role

The Defended Foreclosure Litigation Secretary will support a specialised legal team handling defended foreclosure matters, primarily for Standard Bank clients. This role is based in Pretoria East and offers a salary commensurate with experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general administrative tasks for the defended foreclosure department.
• Draft and process legal documents under attorney supervision, including motions, pleadings, notices, sheriff's letters and other litigation paperwork.
• Manage case files and documentation, ensuring they are current, well‑organized and readily accessible.
• Communicate effectively with clients, counterparts and defendants.
• Coordinate with legal professionals to guarantee timely filings, court appearances, reporting and client feedback.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Litigation Secretary in defended foreclosure matters.
• Specific experience with defended foreclosure cases, preferably involving Standard Bank.
• Proficiency in My Attorneys and CACS (bank‑related systems).
• Experience using GhostPractice and familiarity with Caselines.
