Data Analyst – Investment & Performance Data

About the role

The Data Analyst will support the development, maintenance and quality of investment and performance data across Old Mutual's investment platform. This early‑career position offers exposure to asset‑management data, analytics and reporting while working closely with senior analysts, investment teams and technology partners.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing, validating and maintaining investment, performance and risk datasets for analysis and reporting.
• Perform routine data quality checks, reconciliations and flag anomalies for resolution.
• Support performance attribution processes and help test and validate attribution models.
• Develop and execute basic automated validation checks for pricing, benchmarks and corporate actions.
• Participate in ETL activities, extracting, transforming and loading data from internal and external sources.
• Collaborate with technology, investment and risk teams to meet day‑to‑day data needs.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented, curious professional with strong interest in analytics and financial markets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems or a related quantitative discipline.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a data analyst, reporting or analytics role; financial services experience is a plus.
• Foundational understanding of data quality concepts and basic data governance.
