Data Analyst – Data Visualization & Insights

About the role

Our client, a leading security‑sector organisation in Durban, is seeking a Data Analyst to transform raw data into actionable business intelligence. You will work closely with stakeholders to clean, visualise and interpret complex datasets, supporting strategic decisions across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, clean and validate data from multiple internal and external sources.
• Analyse datasets to identify trends, patterns and anomalies.
• Design, build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Translate business requirements into clear analytical solutions and data models.
• Provide data‑driven insights and recommendations to support decision‑making.
• Automate recurring reports and analytical processes.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency and integrity throughout the lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
• Strong attention to detail and a curiosity‑driven mindset.
• Ability to communicate complex findings to non‑technical audiences.

Required skills

• SQL
• Advanced Excel
• Power BI or comparable data‑visualisation tools
• Understanding of data‑warehousing concepts
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud (nice to have)
