Construction Foreman

About the role

Join a prestigious construction company in the Winelands as a Construction Foreman. The role supports the Construction Manager by supervising daily on‑site activities, ensuring subcontractors and labourers meet quality and safety standards, and helping keep the project on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate and oversee daily work of subcontractors and casual labour, monitor performance, maintain records and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe construction site, store tools and materials properly and promote a culture of discipline.
• Implement quality control procedures, conduct daily inspections, compile weekly snag lists and support concrete testing and other QA measures.
• Assist the Construction Manager with project‑management tasks, track material usage, report delays and help meet project deadlines.

Required profile

• Grade 12 Trade certificate or NTC in the building/construction industry (advantageous).
• Minimum 2–3 years’ supervisory experience on construction sites.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of construction site procedures and building standards (NHBRC preferred).
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Understanding of construction materials, plant and equipment usage.
