Cash Processor Contractor – Unemployed Banking Learnership

About the role

SBV Services is offering a Cash Processor Contractor position as part of its Unemployed Banking Learnership. The role provides hands‑on experience in cash processing, banking systems and transaction reconciliation for young adults who are new to the banking sector.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process cash deposits, including note counting and coin handling.
• Sort, balance and verify notes, identifying rejected or irregular items.
• Reconcile cash deposits and perform cash transfers to vaults.
• Operate and maintain cash‑processing equipment and report any shortages or faults.
• Record bag and seal numbers, pack and unpack cash for banks and ATMs.
• Process payroll, change transactions and other bank‑system integrated transactions.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric with Mathematics or Literacy.
• Age between 18 and 29.
• Never previously participated in the National Certificate: Banking programme.
• Ability to follow banking SOPs and procedures accurately.
• High accuracy when handling cash and transactions.
• Basic computer skills (advantageous).
• Previous cash‑handling experience or exposure to banking/financial services (advantageous).
