Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor (Khayelitsha)

About the role

Sanlam Developing Markets is looking for a Branch Consultant/Financial Advisor to join its Khayelitsha branch. The role involves providing sound financial advice, promoting Sanlam Retail Mass products, and building strong, lasting relationships with clients.

Key responsibilities

• Gain deep knowledge of SRM product ranges and match them to customers' financial goals and means.
• Provide tailored product recommendations, submit new business, and conduct due‑diligence to identify risks.
• Service existing client portfolios, send payment reminders, manage persistency and resolve queries in‑branch.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and quality standards, keep CPD points up to date, and log all activities as required.
• Report daily activities, collate weekly/monthly data, and support the Retail Branch Manager with ad‑hoc tasks.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification; RE5 advantageous.
• FAIS compliance (Wealth Management) as per DOFA requirements.
• Willingness to complete Class of Business training within 12 months of employment.
• Strong client‑service orientation, ability to manage appointments and walk‑in clients, and proactive risk identification.
