Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor (Elim Mall)

About the role

To promote Sanlam Retail Mass (SRM)’s products and increase market share by providing sound financial advice and a high level of client service in a branch context. The role also creates opportunities for client optimisation and cross‑selling of value‑added products.

Key responsibilities

• Gain and maintain an in‑depth understanding of SRM product ranges.
• Assess customers’ financial goals and means, and recommend appropriate products.
• Continuously inform customers of new products or changes in existing products and manage product implications on portfolios.
• Service and manage all client profiles, send payment reminders and conduct follow‑ups.
• Validate client details, submit new business through the correct channels and conduct due diligence.
• Manage persistency of client payments and consult on alternative payment arrangements.
• Resolve client queries in‑branch or escalate using the established framework.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a sales or marketing capacity.
• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• FAIS compliance as required by DOFA.
• Class of Business training to be completed within 12 months of employment.
• Experience within insurance branches is an advantage.
• RE5 qualification advantageous.
