BIM Specialist

About the role

Modena Design Centres is seeking a BIM Specialist to join its Durban team. The role combines deep knowledge of the built environment with hands‑on expertise in architectural documentation and digital workflows. You will work directly with clients to understand project challenges, propose practical BIM solutions, and help them adopt Revit‑based processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients in BIM, Revit, and digital design delivery workflows.
• Identify, analyse, and resolve BIM‑related production and coordination issues.
• Conduct discovery sessions to capture client needs before recommending solutions.
• Advise on BIM best practices for architectural and multidisciplinary projects.
• Implement Revit standards, templates, modelling processes, and documentation workflows.
• Improve the quality, consistency, and efficiency of technical documentation.
• Provide training, mentoring, and knowledge‑sharing to clients and internal teams.
• Collaborate with internal experts to create repeatable resources, templates, and scripts.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of how buildings are constructed and how technical documentation is produced.
• Proactive, deadline‑driven, and collaborative mindset.
• Ability to navigate complex client environments and communicate with diverse personalities.
• Passion for continuous learning and technology adoption.
