Backend Developer – Server‑Side Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain the server‑side logic of our applications. You will ensure high performance, scalability, and security while collaborating closely with front‑end teams and third‑party services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain back‑end services, APIs, and databases.
• Build scalable systems that handle high volumes of requests and data.
• Implement security and data‑protection best practices.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers and stakeholders to integrate user‑facing elements.
• Manage database schemas, queries, and migrations using SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Participate in code reviews, system architecture discussions, and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Backend Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and security principles.
• Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem‑solving and collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Node.js/Express, Python (Django/Flask/FastAPI), Java (Spring Boot) or Ruby on Rails.
• PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis.
• RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.
• Cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
