Accounts Receivable Clerk (Hybrid)

About the role

Sybrin is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to manage customer payments, invoicing and collections in a hybrid work environment. The role supports cash‑flow health, reduces debtor days and ensures accurate recording of collection activity using Acumatica and internal reporting tools.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate all customer payments and credit notes accurately in Acumatica, matching them to invoices.
• Identify and resolve unallocated cash and payment discrepancies promptly.
• Record and treat Withholding Tax (WHT) amounts correctly in the system.
• Maintain accurate AR balances and assist with monthly reconciliations.
• Perform collections on outstanding invoices, following up based on payment terms and ageing.
• Engage customers professionally via email and telephone to secure payment commitments.
• Escalate high‑risk or overdue accounts according to internal procedures.
• Collect and file Withholding Tax Certificates from customers.

Required profile

• Matric and any accounting‑related post‑certificate, degree or diploma.
• 2‑3 years of relevant experience, preferably with cross‑border, multi‑currency and withholding tax handling.
• Ability to work under the direction of the Financial Manager.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Acumatica accounting software.
