Account Manager – Johannesburg

About the role

We are looking for a commercially‑minded Account Manager to join a fast‑growing, JSE‑listed financial services group in Johannesburg. You will be responsible for nurturing existing client relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering a high level of service throughout the client lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key client accounts.
• Manage ongoing client engagement and monitor account performance.
• Identify opportunities for account growth, upselling and cross‑selling.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for client communication and relationship management.
• Ensure excellent service delivery and high client satisfaction.
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet client requirements.
• Conduct regular account reviews and performance discussions.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and reporting.
• Represent the business professionally in all client interactions.

Required profile

• Previous experience in account management, client relationship management, business development or customer success.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Commercial awareness and relationship‑building ability.
• Highly organised, proactive and energetic personality.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment.
• Strong academic achievements are advantageous.
• Experience in financial services, recruitment, consulting, SaaS or professional services is beneficial.
• Based in Johannesburg and willing to work primarily office‑based.
