Technical Trainer (Automotive)

About the role

The Technical Trainer will deliver high‑quality automotive training to technicians across dealership networks. You will work closely with the training development team, market specialists, and field service engineers to ensure training materials are ready, localized, and aligned with market needs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum, new‑model, and performance‑improvement training sessions on Ford vehicle systems.
• Review and adjust training materials for technical accuracy, market relevance, and language localization.
• Prepare training rooms, work bays, tools, equipment, and training vehicles before each session.
• Maintain training facility safety standards and conduct safety audits.
• Track attendance and learner records in the STARS system to keep training history up‑to‑date.
• Collaborate with market teams to identify special training needs and improve class fill rates.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of automotive technology and diagnostic processes.
• Excellent presentation and facilitation abilities to engage technical audiences.
• Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement of training delivery.
• Ability to follow supervisor guidance and implement suggested improvements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and software.
• Understanding of Ford vehicle systems (engines, transmissions, electrical, brakes, suspension, steering).
• Experience creating and delivering PowerPoint‑based training materials.
• Capability to conduct training facility safety audits.
