Senior IT Developer – OWLS System

About the role

We are looking for a Senior IT Developer to manage day‑to‑day operations of the OWLS platform, delivering reliable systems and services that meet or exceed business objectives. The role involves creating complex SQL reports, designing correspondence templates, and solving both business and technical problems while interacting closely with end users.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain OWLS reports, templates and related documentation.
• Perform unit and system testing for OWLS enhancements.
• Analyse system issues, propose and implement practical solutions.
• Provide user training, guidance and support for queries.
• Monitor OWLS operations, track changes across test and live environments, and produce operational reports.
• Identify, mitigate and escalate risks related to OWLS and its interfaces.
• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and ensure alignment with business needs.
• Administer application security, manage user accounts, assist with audits and quarterly security reporting.

Required profile

• 3‑ or 4‑year IT qualification (e.g., Computer Science, MIS, IT, Computer Engineering).
• Advanced SQL programming training.
• Minimum 10 years of IT experience, preferably in complex, geographically dispersed environments.
• Extensive experience with SQL programming and database systems.
• General IT proficiency (Windows, Excel, FTP) and strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Knowledge of financial and insurance domains is an advantage.
• Background in programming and support of large, complex IT systems.
