About the role
We are seeking an energetic, guest‑focused Restaurant Supervisor to join the team of a prestigious 5‑star hotel restaurant in Sandton. The successful candidate will support the management team in delivering world‑class dining experiences and will lead by example on a fast‑paced floor.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring service excellence and guest satisfaction.
- Motivate and guide staff through on‑floor presence, clear communication and leading by example.
- Maintain consistent food and beverage presentation, guest interaction and service standards.
- Assist the Restaurant Manager with scheduling, training, performance evaluations and staff development.
- Handle guest feedback and challenging situations professionally and decisively.
- Support inventory, stock control, cost management and daily audits, including banking checks.
- Identify and act on areas needing improvement across staffing, floor flow and guest concerns.
Required profile
- Recognised qualification in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Minimum two years of supervisory experience in a 5‑star hotel or high‑end restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations and fine‑dining service.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and financial acumen.
- Proactive, self‑motivated, solution‑oriented and able to multitask in a pressurised environment.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, public holidays and evenings.
